Poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) Stones
The elastic effect of the PVA sponge automatically aligns the cutting edges of the abrasive grains, leaving no deep scratches on the object to be polished, making it possible to obtain an extremely even and highly accurate finished surface.
The continuous pores of the PVA sponge (average porosity 50-80%, general abrasive 30-50%) suppresses heat generation and clogging during polishing. In addition, by changing the properties of the binder it is possible to optimize it for high intensity polishing. These specialized PVA sponges also simplify conventional lapping and buffing work, majorly reducing processing time and improving removal rate.
Applications
HD aluminum substrates, soft metal parts, copper rolls for gravure printing, aluminum rolls, polishing of various painted surfaces, glass, general metals.
